As parents we all want to have our children be brilliant, but there are some kids who are above the norm where intelligence is concerned. These children are normally labeled as gifted. Granted, there are different ways of defining giftedness, but experts use certain criteria to assess children to identify their talents. As parents there are some signs that we can use to gauge our children to see if they are a bit above the norm for their age group.
It is also worth knowing that many children can be gifted while having a learning disability. A child could be brilliant with numbers but have problems with reading and writing. In some cases it will be learning disability that will be most easily seen.
Signs of Giftedness in Children
